Move in day was exhausting! Our move-in time got pushed back, because the carpet cleaners were late getting to the building because their truck broke down :( So we did a quick check-in with the leasing manager, then we went to get some sustenance at Subway before the busy afternoon.
After eating fresh at our local subway, the move-in madness began. It felt like the hottest day ever as we were lugging boxes and bags up the stairs to our apartment. After a few hundred (or so it seemed) trips between Bernie the car and our apartment, and buckets of sweat (yes it was gross) later we had all of our stuff packed in the kitchen. It all went in the kitchen because the carpets were still drying :( After unloading, we set off to our second home for the week...Target. We loaded up 2 carts, trying to think of what we would need. It's seriously amazing how many little gadgets you take for granted when living with your parents who have already established their home. We thought we had covered all of our bases on things we would need until Jenni went to open a can of tuna for lunch and realized... WE DON'T HAVE A CAN OPENER! So big surprise, another trip to Target! We were seriously there multiple times a day for the the first 5 days of our Fargo adventure!
After many hours of un-packing, setting up electronics, visits from the cable guy, and a few thousand Target trips, we finally have our home ready to live in and enjoy! Here are some pictures!!
